Why Plan for a Profitable Exit?

Why Plan for a Profitable Exit?

I want to plant a seed for you to think about. You have a successful company; you feel like you’re making a tremendous impact for your clients; you’re making decent money and feeling confident. Things are so much better than when you were working for someone else in the traditional “9-5” job. Yeah, you’re putting in a lot more hours than you did back in the corporate world and you can’t just leave the responsibility at the office when you go home at night to have dinner with your family, but it’s a good feeling that you’re doing it for you instead of making someone else rich. (Oh yeah, you hate to admit it, but you’re getting a little tired of that overwhelm you feel running your business and trying to manage it all.)

Superhero Syndrome …it’s not easy but it can be easier

I remember when I started back in my corporate days - all the goals I set for myself. Between building a career, managing a team and starting a family I felt the urge to be Superwoman. BREAK THE RULES

BREAK THE RULES

I read an article in Forbes magazine that shared the results of a study on New Year’s resolutions. It showed that less than 25% of people stay committed to keeping their goals after the first 30 days, and of those only 8% achieve them. Why such a dismal percentage? In general, I believe people set goals for themselves and their businesses based on what they feel they should strive for and NOT what they WANT to strive for. This is where I think we should break the rules. Set your goals based on what you really want.

To Ban or Not to Ban

To Ban or Not to Ban

We grew up in a world where the motto is “the customer is always right”, but to what end? In more recent years society has also been discouraging hostile work environments. Within the last few months Uber released a statement that they intend on banning low-rated customers. Where do you stand – ban or not ban? One might also ask it as customers or employees - which comes first?
